Surprise!!!
It's official...Ben finally popped the question after three years. I was in shock! Who ever thought he had that romantic side to him! I haven't seen it for a couple years!! What a sweet and appropriate proposal...looking for "fossils." It is so awesome to have such an important family heirloom in my possession. The ring was his mom's mom's engagement ring. Her mom passed away when Ben's mom was just one and a half years old. What an honor to wear it on my finger! It is soooo much better than anything he could have bought for me! The picture doesn't really do the ring justice, but it's the best I could do. It's something you just have to see in person to appreciate it! Looking forward to a late June, early July 2010 wedding date! I hope to pick it this week!!! :)

BONUS: Jonases: Prime Relatives
With a new 3-D concert movie, a recent book, and an upcoming TV series, the Jonas Brothers are relatives in their prime! Numbers are said to be relatively prime if their only common factor is 1. To complete an exclusive message from Kevin Jonas, POST (to the blog) the pair of numbers below that are relative primes.
Kevin said, "You need math...
105, 49 in kindergarten, in high school, all the way through, really."
65, 99 in everyday life, to do what you have to do every single day. It's always important."

Back from Vacation...literally!!
I wanted to finally make the change to the blog since I've had more exciting things to share! I just got back from California on New Year's Eve barely making it home before the ball dropped to ring in 2009. My vacation to California started on Christmas Eve, as I had a tough time catching my planes from Pittsburgh to Houston and from Houston to Orange County. It was a great feeling to get my feet back on the ground in a warmer climate in southern California. It was also wonderful to see my sister and her newly formed family once again. (It's been since October! I've actually seen her a lot this year, as we usually only get together once a year! She's so far!) Anyway, this was a new experience for me; I've never spent Christmas anywhere except at home. Now, I'm across the country! Christmas proved to be a blast! Santa brought me all kinds of goodies even to California...hmmm...he knows it all! My new task is to read Twilight since it was in my stocking so I can watch the movie and maybe relate to all those girls I hear talking about it each day! Soon after Christmas my oldest sister, brother, and parents flew out to be there for my sister, Lynette's wedding. We celebrated her and Mark's beach wedding on Monday, December 29 in Laguna Beach, California. The backdrop was the most beautiful I have seen for a wedding. I held up emotionally pretty well too, that is, until I tried giving my "maid of honor" speech! Personal things get me all of the time...I turned into such a baby talking about growing up with my sis and missing her now that she's 3000 miles away. All was well soon after when the real party started and we danced the night away! We learned the dance to Thriller even though we were so far away and only practicing a couple times before the reception! It was a hit and sooooo much fun! It'll be cool having another brother-in-law and welcoming his children into our family as well. (Mark has 3 kids already, Katie, Andrew, & Emily.) I hope my sister has her own child now soon! It'll be another reason for me to go back to California...more excitement!
On Wednesday, the vacation came to a close for me! I hopped on my plain to get back to Steeler's country, but stuck on the tarmac for 2 hours because of heavy fog. This caused me to miss my connection in Houston and postponed my arrival back to PA until just before midnight! Talk about stress! I am glad to be home sweet home, but cannot wait to go back, especially because of this dark, dreary, winter weather! I wish I were where my sister was going on her honeymoon...Maui, Hawaii!!
It's hard to believe Christmas break is over and we are back to the daily routines of school and work. It's been a rough week, but I hope we can all get back into the groove of things. I look forward to welcoming in the second half of the school year!!! Welcome back!
P.S. Wedding/beach photos yet to come!
